Young man with a smile

After we setup for church on Friday I was talking to Chuck and we noticed a young man with a big smile sitting by the door into the rooms we use for the church. I asked him if he was coming to join us in church and he said he was looking forward to it.

I asked him who he (Byron) was and shook his hand. I asked him a series of questions to see if he knew Jesus and what the cross means. He said that he did not know. I was amazed and confirmed again with a question that he did not know the meaning of the cross and boy did I get a buzz off that news, because I had some news for him.

Testimony of The Tub

A couple of Friday nights ago we were serving the people and boy were they hungry!  We had Albertson’s chicken and almost everyone wanted to pick out their own piece of chicken.

There was a lady that came up and got her plate and said that she had some ice cream and would it be okay to bring down? I said, “Bring it on,” knowing that several church members loved ice cream (including a certain pastor that cruised the food tables from time to time).

Kids Class

     

I am so excited to say that we have a kids class on Fridays now. We have been working our way through the book of Mark.
