Worship and Communion

We will be having communion tonight for the first time at this motel.

We have Nicole on Vocals, and Warren on guitar. I play keys and sing. This week we will be without Camille.

I really felt lead to stay on “Jesus, Lover of my Soul.”  I took some time during that song also to encourage everyone to find their need for love met for Jesus.  It was a really neat time.

I had a bit of a distraction with two boys playing with marbles right in front of me (the kids sit in the front row).  So, I was praying while leading worship — asking the Lord to give me wisdom on how to deal with this situation.  We began to sing “Lord, I will worship You, nothing hands have made, but You alone” from “I Will Bow” and I just paused the singing, continued to play, and asked the boys to come and lay down their marbles at the foot of the keyboard (altar area) and used that opportunity to exhort everyone else there.  It was really neat.

After “He Knows My Name,” Mercier got up and gave a testimony about how God supernaturally met his needs this day.

Wyatt gave a great communion message from Genesis to Romans to 1 Corinthians 11.

We played “Grace Flows Down” and the people went for communion by dipping their flat bread in juice.

To end, we talked about how great God is and how we can be thankful to Him.  I gave a testimony about God’s intimacy in His giving to me and Nicole gave another testimony.  Then we sang, “You Have Been So Good.”

Wow.  It was a wonderful meeting.

A little girl came up to me and told me I was really beautiful.  But I know she meant that JESUS coming through was beatiful.  That was my favorite part tonight.

I just got a call from a mom who’s young son received prayer last night at the service. He had an infected spider bite and was due to return to the doctor today to have it lanced. He was afraid and Julie prayed with him and his mom.
The doctor examined him this morning and said it was healing on its own and did not need to be lanced.
As they walked outside the boy said “Mom, God really works!”
