Be Hospitable: A Testimony

Dear Prodigals,

This was our memory verse from two weeks ago.

“Be hospitable to one another without grumbling.” (1 Peter 4:9).

This evening, one of the sisters in Anaheim from Friday night called me and said that she was out of rent money and had nowhere to go for 2 days.  In my head I thought, “Oh, wow.  It’s already late.  How are we going to solve this one?”  Then I had a thought.  Well, probably the Holy Spirit put it there.  I called one of the other sisters who also lives in Anaheim.  I explained the situation to sister #2 and asked if she might have a place for sister #1 to stay for the night.  Sister #2 thought about it for about 2 seconds and then said, “Yes!  It would be my honor and pleasure to have sister #1 stay here tonight.”

Wow!  No grumbling, no murmuring, no complaining, no saying, “Well, only if there’s absolutely no other option and she’s about to die or something.”  You know what I mean?  You know when you can tell that someone is grudgingly saying yes when they really don’t want to?  Well, there was none of that!  I’m really excited.  It’s the Friday night Body caring for one another.  Simple obedience.  You know who’s excited?  Me!  I’m so blessed to see this in action!  Oh, praise the Lord!

  1. THAT is a wonderful encouragement, both for the fruit of the ministry and an amazing confirmation to continue with the memory verses.
