The Team

Wyatt, Julie, and Camille

Brigham

Wyatt is currently working on recording his messages from Friday nights for our podcast. He has already taught through Mark, Habakkuk, Colossians, Philippians, Ecclesiastes, and 1 & 2 Peter, and is currently teaching in 1 Samuel. The church is growing in the Word; it’s wonderful to watch. “The just shall live by faith.”

Wyatt, Julie, and Camille are an essential part of our outreach team on Friday nights. Wyatt preaches and Julie heads up the clothing ministry. Julie is always compassionate and is very quick to pray for others. Camille just joined the “house band” worship team at the Valencia (July 07) and is naturally gifted at percussion. What a joy to see every member of this family serving the LORD to each one’s fullest. WOW! He and his wife Julie and their daughter Camille, attend Calvary Chapel RSM. He also teaches classes each semester at Calvary Chapel Bible College at Rancho Santa Margarita.  Camille plays cajon on the worship team at CCRSM as well as the Friday Night Band.

Tom and Joanne Marquez

Tom and Joanne are no first-timers to street ministry. As part of Teen Challenge (they teach His Kids Club every Saturday morning) they have no trouble at all praying for people and ministering to them. They are in charge of the bread ministry and pick it up during the week. They attend Calvary Chapel Seaside.  They also both transport people to and from the Valencia from the Arena and from apartments that they live in.  It’s so neat to watch them serve people in such a tender way.

Chuck and Linda Sherman

Chuck and Linda stepped right on in the food ministry. God prepared Chuck before time began by equipping him with a Colman Gas Grill, perfect for hot dogs and hamburgers. They are also quick to pray for others and they love to worship. Chuck has a fabulous baritone voice.Wyatt met Chuck and Linda Sherman from the Bible College in RSM and they attend Calvary Chapel Rancho Santa Margarita.  They also both transport kids to and from the Valencia from the Arena, bring tables and chairs, are part of the Food Ministry Team, clean up with the swifter patrol, and manage to pray and care for others, too.  This couple is on fire for Jesus and it shows.

Rick Kernan

Rick is an awesome prayer warrior. Rick has been taking photos for our site. He also is on the “door knocking team.” I love to hear Rick say, “So, do you have eternal plans?” as casually if he asked if they like McDonald’s. He is also part of the food ministry team, as well. He attends Refuge Calvary Chapel and goes to Bible College in Downey. He is quick to pray, quick to stack up and carry chairs, or do whatever is necessary. He is also part of the Food Ministry team and does a great job getting the kids to serve. It’s such a blessing to have a faithful servant on our team such as he.

Warren & Nicole Freer

Warren and Nicole both serve on the worship team at Calvary Chapel Rancho Santa Margarita. Nicole came out with us a few years back and fell in love with the people. They are wonderful with all ages and eager to pray. They are now part of the “house band” at the Valencia. We are all excited to see these two grow in their giftings and callings in the Lord. They are especially gifted and have a heart to pray over people. They also are so wonderful to help transport chairs which is a giant task.

Steve and Lana Carr

Steve and Lana attend Rancho Santa Margarita Calvary Chapel, where they have taught Children’s Ministry at Calvary Chapel Rancho Santa Margarita.  He also teaches at the Bible College.  They are both gifted intercessors.  Steve often gives the devotional for the memory verse of the week.  Both he and Lana are also quick to pray and quick to help with cleaning, stacking up chairs, or whatever needs to be done.  They both have a ministry of peace.

Elisa

Elisa DePierre

At the Arena Outreach, many times I let her entirely run the Bible class because she’s would call us during the week with this wildly inspired craft or project idea for the kids. She’s grown so much since coming out with us it’s truly incredible. She is an awesome girl for God and is becoming quite the prayer warrior. We are praying that the LORD would continue to reveal in and through her her calling. She attends Calvary Chapel San Juan Capistrano.  She started attending CC Bible College in September 2008.  She is spending the Fall of 2009 in Peru at CCBC because of her heart for missions.

Mercier and Bridget Willard

Mercier has been a Christian since 1949 and has also been involved in many different churches throughout his lifetime, serving in diverse ministries. Pastor Mercier was ordained in 2000 by Calvary Chapel San Juan Capistrano by Pastor Brian Wood, now a missionary in Mozambique. Mercier is our pastor and our visionary. He coordinates our outreaches and mentors its leaders. He is quick to pray for others, isn’t afraid of new ideas, and is passionate about serving people.

Mercier and Bridget attend Calvary Chapel Seaside where he is the assistant pastor. Bridget encourages and lifting up the brothers and sisters through one on one outreach at the Friday Night Outreach through teaching, worship, and lifting up the lost with prayer. At the moment she heads up worship and children’s ministry. Bridget authors and maintains this website as well as writing. Her book, Bagel by the Sea, is a collection of those essays and poems as well as On the Mountain: read a sample of Chapter 1. She also coordinated and spoke at the Women’s Retreat that was held in 2003 and 2004.
